Who We Are

The Latino Scholarship Fund, Inc. (LSF) was founded in 1994 by a group of concerned individuals who recognized that less than 20% of Danbury High School's Latino graduates were pursuing higher education, the lowest percentage of any ethnic group in the graduating class. Since then, the LSF has raised and awarded over $1 million in scholarships to more than 600 students throughout the Greater Danbury area and surrounding towns.

The LSF was recognized in 2019 with a "Best of Danbury Award" in the nonprofit category. The LSF is operated entirely by volunteers, and is a professionally run organization that enjoys widespread community support with a 31 year history of fundraising success. As a tax-exempt 501 (c)3 organization, donations to the LSF are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law.
